This is the original Train Your Brain. The remake is described in Train Your Brain V2.
Story
Train Your Brain is a collection of four mini-games in which the player shows calmness, patience, sustained focus and memory skills, whether in a memory game, counting cubes or solving maths exercises. The key is to stay calm and focused.
Feedback
| Mini-game | Positive feedback | Negative feedback |
|---|---|---|
| Memory | The cubes to memorise are visible | The cubes are not visible |
| Focus | The colour of the paint bucket is visible | The colour of the paint bucket is not visible |
| Spatial | The blocks are clearly visible and can be counted | The boundaries of the blocks are not visible, so the blocks cannot be counted |
| Logic | The maths exercise is clearly visible, falls slowly and can be solved | The maths exercise is not visible, falls quickly and cannot be solved |

Feedback process
The feedback is shown through the progress of the game, which is linked to the brain bar and the progress bar (see Brain HUD).
If the selected factors are in the desired range, the brain bar fills up directly and without delay. If they are not, the brain bar drops until it is empty.
The progress bar is linked to the brain bar. If the brain bar stays in the positive range for a selected period of time, the progress bar builds up. When the progress bar is full, the player is rewarded with a special event. Similarly, if the brain bar stays in the negative range for a longer time, the progress bar fills up in the negative range until a special event informs the player.
Application, combination and typical reactions
This game is suitable for clients of all ages. It works as an introduction to the training and as a second building block. The optimal duration is about 10 minutes, but it can be adapted as needed.
Each of the four mini-games offers several difficulty levels to increase the challenge if necessary, and a specific goal can be set for each by choosing a target score.
Handling the controller is an additional difficulty for some clients, since cognitive and motor skills have to work together. This also brings benefits: people who struggle with motor restlessness often find it easier to calm down when their hands are busy. Clients who have difficulty using the controller may produce more muscle artifacts.
| When in training | Combination with different feedback |

Gameplay, shop and upgrades
During the game the player collects coins whenever the feedback is positive. The coins can be used across games to buy new characters, items or worlds.

Coin currency: 100 blue coins = 1 gold coin, 100 gold coins = 1 ruby. See Neuro Player System.
Overview: in the overview the player chooses one of the four mini-games.

Shop – visual upgrades: new backgrounds can be bought in the shop with the collected coins.

Philosophy and background
Train Your Brain is an ideal exercise for maintaining concentration while solving set tasks. The player also learns to remain calm and not get stressed, even when the cognitive challenges become harder or a task cannot be solved right away.
